The flagship model of Esoteric Super Audio CD players, the K-05, now emerges in its advanced XD edition. The design platform has been entirely reengineered, integrating the cutting-edge VRDS-ATLAS and Master Sound Discrete DAC / Clock circuitry. This marks the debut of a groundbreaking Super Audio CD player.

Introduced in 2011, the K-05 evolved into the K-05X in 2015 and K-05Xs in 2018, establishing itself as the cornerstone of the Esoteric K Series. The K-05XD upholds the legacy of the iconic K-05 series but redefines it with a revolutionary design platform, distinct from its predecessors.

The bespoke VRDS-ATLAS transport mechanism, “ATLAS 05,” is crafted exclusively for this model, while the DAC section leverages a discrete circuit with the "Master Sound Discrete DAC" to enhance music reproduction precision.

Drawing on advancements from the Grandioso G1X master clock generator, the K-05XD incorporates a specialized discrete clock circuit, the “Master Sound Discrete Clock for Digital Player.”

A robust double-layer chassis houses the enhanced ATLAS mechanism, expanded circuit blocks, and power supply section. The K-05XD’s refined aesthetic, aligning closely with higher-end models, quietly underscores its sophisticated engineering, positioning it as a transformative milestone.
