The CF-102 NCF RCA Connector represents Furutech's flagship signal connector line, distinguished by its initial integration of the proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) material into a signal transmission application.
Center Conductor and Processing Technology
The connector's center conductor utilizes an α (Alpha) OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) Rhodium-plated one-piece construction that is injected with the proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) material.
Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF)
NCF functions as the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material through its specialized active properties:
1. Static Mitigation: It generates negative ions to actively eliminate surface static charge.
2. Energy Conversion: It converts localized thermal energy into Far Infrared (FIR) radiation.
This crystalline material is blended with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder to leverage the piezoelectric effect, which enhances the material's ability to damp vibrations. This formula collectively eliminates static, "interconverts" energy, and suppresses vibrations for optimized signal integrity.
Alpha Process (Two-Stage Cryogenic and Demagnetization)
All metallic components, including the conductor, undergo Furutech's two-stage proprietary Alpha Process to establish a stress-free, stable, and highly conductive state.
Stage 1: Deep Cryogenic Treatment
This conditioning freeze utilizes high-end refrigerants to achieve extreme temperatures (-196°C to 250°C). This thermal extreme induces a molecular restructuring within the metal parts, relieving internal stress and promoting tighter molecular bonding. This physical stabilization directly enhances electrical conductivity for superior power and signal transfer.
Stage 2: Patented Ring Demagnetization
Following the cryogenic stage, the parts are exposed to a patented Ring Demagnetization treatment. Unlike conventional high-power demagnetization methods, this process employs controlled attenuation to ensure complete removal of magnetization. This step is critical for preventing residual magnetic effects that can compromise signal quality, further enhancing the conductivity of all treated materials.
Note:
Too much torque when tightening of the screws may damage them. Recommended torque values for tightening the screws are as follows.
Conductor wire set screw: (+) 40cN•m / (-) 30cN•m
Rear Housing fixing screw: 30cN•m
Please note that slight discoloration of the silver-plated carbon fiber may occur over time. This is partly due to the nature of the product being hand-produced rather than mass-manufactured. Such variations are normal and do not affect the quality or performance of the product.
