CF-602F NCF XLR Connector
The CF-602F NCF represents Furutech's premier balanced signal connector, marking its initial application of Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) technology in a high-performance XLR interface. This material is the outcome of extensive R&D aimed at mitigating electrical and mechanical resonance in transmission paths.
Construction and Core Technology
Connector Body: The chassis is molded from NCF Liquid Crystal Polymer Resin, a composite incorporating Nylon, Fiberglass, nano-sized crystalline piezo ceramic particles, and carbon powder, blended with Furutech's specific "NCF" anti-resonance damping material.
Conductor Pins: The rhodium-plated α (Alpha) Pure Copper one-piece construction conductor pins are innovatively injected with the NCF damping material.
Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) Functionality
NCF operates as a robust electrical and mechanical damping material via dual "active" properties:
1. Static Mitigation: Generates negative ions to effectively eliminate static charge.
2. Energy Conversion: Converts localized thermal energy into Far Infrared (FIR) radiation.
This crystalline base, augmented by the piezoelectric effect of the ceramic and carbon additives, collectively optimizes signal fidelity.
Alpha Process Treatment
All metallic components undergo the Two-Stage Cryogenic and Demagnetization Alpha Process to ensure a stress-free, stable, and highly conductive state.
Stage 1: Deep Cryogenic Conditioning: Parts are subjected to extreme low temperatures -196°C to 250°C. This thermal stress alteration restructures the molecular alignment, relieving internal stress and enhancing electrical conductivity.
Stage 2: Patented Ring Demagnetization: This specialized process utilizes controlled attenuation to completely eliminate residual magnetization, which further enhances the conductivity of all treated materials.
This comprehensive approach facilitates a dramatic reduction in noise, resulting in superior imaging, focus, and sound staging in critical audio and video applications.

• Housing: Multilayer hybrid NCF carbon housing composed of an outer hard clear coat over with another layer of Hybrid NCF Silver plated 3k carbon fiber on a nonmagnetic stainless-steel Housing. The best of damping and insulation materials improve frequency extension and tonal balance.
• Conductor wire fixed by set screw or soldering.
• Specified for cable diameters max. 10.0mm.
• Accommodates: 13AWG (2.62 sq.mm) max. stranded wire / 12AWG (3.3 sq.mm) max solid core wire. Wire diameter 2.4mm max.
Note:
Too much torque when tightening of the screws may damage them. Recommended torque values for tightening the screws are as follows.
Conductor wire set screws: 25cN•m (2.55kgf-cm)
Housing fixing screw: 30cN•m (3.06kgf-cm)
Please observe the following solder temperature and time to avoid damage to the insulation. Recommended soldering operation: Temperature: Max. 425 ℃ Approx. Time: Max. 15 secs. Approx.
Caution:
When using the set screws to secure the conductor wire, the screw should not protrude from the screw hole and make contact with the connector housing – this could cause a short circuit.
Please note that slight discoloration of the silver-plated carbon fiber may occur over time. This is partly due to the nature of the product being hand-produced rather than mass-manufactured. Such variations are normal and do not affect the quality or performance of the product.
